General for all our cold rooms:
Our cold rooms are manufactured in Norway. They are built with PUR foam which has extremely good insulation value. Surfaces on walls, floors and ceilings in the room are made of steel with a “Food Safe laminate” that can withstand high wear and tear over a long period of time, and is recommended and approved by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.
The antibacterial surfaces are very easy to keep clean and are completely tight so that you are protected against moisture damage that can occur by e.g. cold room built in wood.
The requirement for placement is 5 cm from the wall and valve grilles for circulation if you build it in completely.
All standard rooms have included floor, ceiling, walls, shelves, cooling unit, LED light with motion sensor, and cold room door. They come flat-packed with everything you need to assemble yourself.
Our standard cold rooms have a compact unit included, you can easily install this yourself. The rooms can also be delivered with a two-part split unit. This must be installed by an F-Gas certified fitter.
It is not only volume and space that is the reason why people use cold rooms, but it also has a lot of shelf life on food products.
Cold rooms have a higher cooling capacity and air circulation which results in very fast cooling of food you place in the room. This results in lower bacterial growth and increased shelf life, especially for meat and dairy products.
Proper storage of fruits and vegetables inside the cold room provides longer shelf life than many are aware of. Just wrapping vegetables to prevent dehydration, or storing potatoes in light-tight and dry cans increases shelf life.
